Data deletion

The short version

Kiosk Me In keeps your account data on a backend that we operate. You can delete your account — and everything we hold about you — at any time, directly in the app: Profile → Delete account → confirm. If you can’t open the app, email us and we’ll do it for you.

1.Delete your account in the app

This removes your account and the personal data we hold about you:

  • Open the app and go to the Profile tab.
  • Tap Delete account.
  • Confirm when prompted.
  • We immediately erase your phone number, name, email, device identifier, booking history, any booking-evidence photos, and session from our backend.
  • The app signs you out and returns to its first-launch state.

2.If you can’t access the app

If you have lost access to your phone or to the app, you can still have your data deleted by email:

  • Email privacy@kioskitin.com from any address.
  • Tell us the phone number on the account so we can locate it.
  • We will verify the request and delete your data on your behalf.

We acknowledge within 7 working days and complete the deletion within 30 days, as required by §8(10) of the DPDP Act 2023 — usually much sooner.

3.What is deleted

Deleting your account erases the following from our backend:

  • Your phone number.
  • Your name.
  • Your email address (if you provided one for recovery).
  • Your device identifier (the random per-install ID).
  • Your booking history (including payment and refund status).
  • Any booking-evidence photos you captured for a refund.
  • Your session (you are logged out).

Video appointments are never recorded or stored on our servers, so there is no call media to delete. Your UPI PIN, card, and bank details are never collected by us — they stay with Razorpay — so there is nothing of that kind on our side to delete.

4.Minimal legally-retained records

We aim to delete everything. The only exception is a minimal record we are required by law to keep — in particular, records of prepaid transactions (processed by Razorpay over UPI), which Indian tax and financial law requires us to retain, generally for up to eight years, even after you delete your account. Where that applies, we keep only what the law requires, for the period and purpose it mandates, and we delete it once that period ends.

5.Timeframe

In-app deletion is effective immediately — your data is erased from our backend as soon as you confirm. Email-fallback requests are acknowledged within 7 working days and completed within 30 days, and usually much sooner.

6.Contact us about deletion
